Update 12/27
Jessica is still in the PICU but her lungs are improving. She started chemo today. The doctors did not want to wait any longer because the issues with her lungs are directly related to the tumor. We are hopeful that Jessica responds well to chemo and that the tumor will start pulling away from her lungs. The current plan for Jessica is weekly chemo treatments. After 10 weeks of chemo they plan on removing the tumor. If Jessica continues to improve, the doctors have stated she could possibly have her chemo treatments in St. George.

ReplyDeleteSo with her weekly treatments does she get to come home in between or does she have to stay at PCMC for 10 weeks? We are so glad to hear that her lungs are doing better and we pray the chemo does it's job!!!

Poor Little Jessica! I am so sorry to hear that she is going through this trial but I know that she is strong and can pull through with the help of family, friends, and lots of prayers. Her and her family will continue to be in our prayers! We love them dearly!

ReplyDeleteDani, the main goal right now is to get Jessica out of the PICU. If she improves there is a possibility of doing her treatments in St. George. It all depends on how she responds to chemo and when her lungs improve.
