Jessica is HOME!

Jessica, Chandra and Jacob arrived home this evening! It is so exciting to see the Schmitt family reunited in their home in St. George. Jessica's immune system is very weak due to the chemotherapy. It will be very critical for Chandra and Cody to keep germs away from their home. You all know how welcoming Chandra and Cody are. It will be an adjustment for them not to be able to have visitors. Chandra has been trained to take care of Jessica's needs. Between PICC line care, feeding tube care and medication administration, Chandra will be very busy.

On the drive home.

Finally home!

  12. Yeah!!! We are so excited! The girls were so excited to tell us everytime we saw them that Jessica was coming home. I was just thinking what a blessing and how awesome that you have 2 nurses close by in your family to be of assistance and one being your sister!! That is so awesome! You continue to be in our prayers multiple times a day as well as your names being put in the temple at least weekly. :) Stay healthy and strong, We love you!!

  13. yay! we are so glad that Jessica and her family are all back together again. My 2 yr old Chase has been doing chemo since July and we are still so paranoid about visitors and germs. It is just not worth risking their little lives. School age kids go straight to laundry and off come the clothes and hands washed. It is for sure an adjustment. I have a cute sign I hang on my door to let people know of the need to stay away if sick and if not that they have to wash hands and take shoes off. If you would like it I would be more than happy to email it to you. I can even have one printed up and framed and would be more than happy to bring it to you. I know how hard it is to get out even to the store for basic needs let a lone a door sign. I would be happy to help! Just let me know. My email is dani2613@yahoo.com.
